Before starting with the Gainey Vineyard in 1997, Kirby worked at Bernardus Winery in Monterey County and La Crema Winery in Sonoma County. Kirby now focuses his considerable talent on the varieties he is most passionate about: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah.

      Long considered one of Napa Valley's finest Winemakers, Jon has a distinguished resume including Turnbull Cellars, Silverado Winery and Robert Pepi, as well as Hanna Winery in Sonoma County. A master of Bordeaux varieties, Jon oversees our Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and forthcoming Cabernet Sauvignon programs.

      Anchoring day-to-day activities in our cellar is our winemaker Jeff LeBard. A Central Coast native, Jeff has been on the cutting-edge of winemaking for years. He began his career at Fess Parker Winery. Since then, Jeff has been a production manager at Central Coast Wine Services (a custom crush facility catering to small wineries), assistant winemaker at Rancho Sisquoc Winery, and associate winemaker for Napa Valley's Cosentino Winery. Now at Gainey, Jeff enjoys shaping our wines alongside Kirby and Jon.
