Be sure to recommend to your guests on your invite or wedding website to NOT wear high heels or fancy shoes. Have your guests embrace the more relaxed vibe of a barn wedding and wear boots or flats.

Shuttle Guests on Mini Coaches

There is no guest parking at The Barn at Gainey Ranch so small or mid-sized coaches are required to transport guests. The guests don’t have to worry about navigating the country road to The Barn and can enjoy the view of the vineyards.

Wedding Photo Options

The Barn at Gainey Ranch is a photographers dream. With rolling hills, live oaks, and vineyards surrounding The Barn, there’s a plethora of options for unique backdrops. There’s also the wooden bridge, the inside of the barn, and fields of wildflowers in the Spring.

Hire A Lighting Company

The Santa Ynez Valley is known for its beautiful night skies and lack of big-city lights, which makes for awe-inspiring star gazing the night of your wedding. However, it also means that when it’s dark, it’s really dark. So hire a lighting company to not only create that cozy, warm glow but to also light the path to the bathrooms, the bridge, and the sides of the creek.

Inside the Barn

The Barn at Gainey Ranch has a dark-stained raised wood floor that runs down the middle of it which makes it perfect for a smaller ceremony, cocktail hour, or dancing. Take advantage of the raised ceiling height and hang chandeliers for a dramatic design feature.

Fire Pit & S’mores

Located not far from The Barn is a fire pit ringed with rocks. Place some hale-bales around it for a great place for guests to mingle, share a drink, or roast some marshmallows. You could even set-up a s’mores station and let guests make their own late-night treat.
